生活产品设计组:
符合主题 30%:能以单一或多款创作体现新加坡文化。
创意及艺术感 30%:作品的创意、艺术美、技艺及材质的运用
实用性 20%:贴近生活或能被消费者接受
行销性 20%:具备市场潜质。
平面设计组:
符合主题 30%:能以单一或多款创作体现新加坡文化。
创意及艺术感 40%:
转换性 30%:作品设计容易转成多种用途。
公众投选占总分的20%,详情将在5月初公布。
Terms and Conditions
This Competition is open to all Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents and designers based in Singapore, except employees of Singapore Press Holdings (“SPH”), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited, Singapore Branch (“Sponsor”), and their immediate family members. If you are below the age of 18 as of 01 January 2018, you are required to obtain your legal guardian/parent’s written consent and agreement to your participation in the Competition on these Terms and Conditions.”
The Competition is co-organized by SPH and ICBC. Participants must submit to SPH via the official website for the Competition their design entries for the Competition.
A panel of judges shall shortlist the top 10 designs from each of the two categories (the “Top 10 Designs”). The shortlisted finalists for the Product Design Category will be notified to submit their prototypes to SPH by the deadline specified by SPH (the “Submission”). Both members of the public and a panel of judges will then decide on the winners from the Top 10 Designs. Public voting will make up 20% of the score while the panel of judges’ votes will make up 80% of the score. All 10 shortlisted contestants must attend the Singapore Creative Awards Prize Giving Ceremony on 30 May, 2018 (or such other date as may be notified by SPB) for the announcement of the winners. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, in the event that there is no clear decision from the public voting, the judges’ decision will be final.
Designs are to be submitted in soft copy with at least 300 dpi resolution (either PDF, JPEG, or BMP format; 5MB Maximum), a design rationale (in English or Chinese, with no more than 400 words on choice of material, product features) and contact details (Full Name in English and Chinese(where applicable) and Contact Number).
Each contestant cannot submit more than two entries.
For the Graphic Design category, the contestant can submit a single design or a series of designs despicting the theme "Celebrating Diversity".
For the Lifestyle Product category, the contestant can submit photograph of a single design or a series of designs despicting the theme "Celebrating Diversity". - preferably from different angles. Only ACTUAL photographs are acceptable. Computer generated/modified photographs will not be accepted.
Entries may be submitted from 5 Mar – 25 April 2018, except when otherwise instructed. Finalists for the Lifestyle Product Category will be notified to submit their work or prototypes by 15 May to the Singapore Creative Awards Organising Committee at 1000 Toa Payoh North, Podium 4.
By submitting the entry design, the contestant hereby warrants the design including picture, icon, symbol created and possesses unencumbered title of any and all works submitted to the Competition and has the right to convey all ownership rights in the work of the Submission.
The design including picture, icon, symbol within, shall not in any way infringe any third party’s right, including but not limited to copyright, logos, trademark, or other proprietary rights.
The top ten designs from each of the two categories will be judged and evaluated based on the following criteria:
GRAPHIC DESIGN:
30% Relevance to the Theme (Refers to the ability of the design to convey the theme (“Celebrating Diversity”);
40% Originality and Creativity;
30% Adaptability
PRODUCT DESIGN:
30% Relevance to the Theme (Refers to the ability of the design to convey the theme(“Celebrating Diversity”);
30% Originality and Creativity *;
20% Functionability;
20% Marketability
*The products are considered for their degree of innovation, aesthetic qualities and choice of materials.
Intellectual Property Rights
ICBC may enter into an agreement with the Winner on use of the designs or prototypes on terms to be agreed between them.
Each contestant consents to SPH and any of its group companies, to an unlimited right to use the Submission and the participant’s name, likeness, photo, and any personal data for purposes of mentioning the Competition and the Submission in any media or collateral for promotional, advertising or other purposes, worldwide, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, including the Internet, without limitation and without further payment, notification, permission (including permission from any persons who participated in the creation of the Submission) or other consideration, except where prohibited by law. The same considerations shall also apply to the Winner and the final product.
Indemnity and Hold Harmless
The Contestant agrees to fully indemnify, defend, and hold the Sponsor and Organisers harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, costs, and expenses (including lawyer’s fees) incurred by them in connection with: (i) any falsification of information on the Submission by the Contestant, (ii) any breach by the Contestant of the Agreement, (iii) any breach by the Contestant under any legally binding agreement, (iv) any misuse or misrepresentation of legally protected property by the Contestant in relation to this Contest, and/or (v) the violation of any and all laws including but not limited to Singapore law as applicable.
The terms and conditions will be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
